Happy International Women’s Day!

I have a “tradition” for this event: to draw my male fav/OC doing something malewife-ing (ノ>▽<。)ノ Like breakfast in bed or cleaning the house, idk all that shiet that normies consider “female” while men do it occasionally. And the victim of this year is… Sim. Of course.

He tried to make breakfast. The keyword is “tried”. Looks like he wanted to fry wieners and some… pancakes?.. It turned out so bad you can’t even recognize what he made. You don’t want to see how the kitchen looks after this, believe me. But at least he’s naked with only an apron on, yay!! His skills at everything suck though, so he would never be able to do anything “manly”, don’t be fooled by his appearance. I tried to draw this ironically but it turned out as always… Don’t mind me, I usually draw things like this (might be slightly lewd at some point) just for a joke, it’s just my art style that makes everything look srs and straightforward ( ̄ ̄|||) And I found an easy and fast way to color, gonna overuse this in my next drawings.

I want to talk about how International Women’s Day is celebrated in my country. THEY DO THIS ALL WRONG! Why did I draw this? How are men even related to WOMEN’S Day, and why would you see men on Women’s Day cards made by local artists? The answer is simple: the patriarchy in my country is still strong, and women are treated like a “beautiful decoration of the workplace” or “potential baby-makers”. Like women must be pretty (by men’s standards) all the time and must breed, yeah yeah. But I don’t want to dive into politics, it’s just that our society is like this. Men have become more whimsical and arrogant towards women, I think. So, for this event, in our society there is no discussion of how women in the past fought for their rights and current problems, instead, there are greetings to be “more pretty”, “more womanly” (there isn’t even a word in English that could represent that word which describes being that “woman” just a set of things profitable for men lol), gifting obvious things like gigantic plush bears, small chocolate candy sets (Otherwise you might suddenly get fat! WAmen must be slim!!), cosmetics, and FLOWERS..… Flowers are given literally to EVERY woman on March 8th, like NO WAY. Generally, that’s how the day about women’s rights is celebrated in my country: by calling women “men’s inspiration”, giving some stereotypically “feminine” shi and forgetting about actual women’s problems by the next day. I guess this misinterpretation of this commemoration isn’t relevant in English-speaking countries, and you may not understand what I’m talking about. But unfortunately, it’s true that in “second world” countries this date is just about celebrating and reinforcing gender stereotypes.

And that’s why I have this pretty lame “tradition” of drawing my male chars in a stupid way, like on those normie holiday cards of men being “whipped”. Just mocking these normie rituals for March 8th.

In conclusion, news about the site bc creating posts for the site isn’t that easy, and I can’t make 1000 short posts on every single topic. I have to go back to polishing the site. First, I’ll design the mascot (that one irken you may see on some pages) more clearly. While drawing the illustrations, I realized I don’t even know the color of his pants.
